I found this strange song online, and Whang! even covered it, but i'm not sure what the song's name is, nor where it originated from. I hope they get identified, and a full version gets either found or released. Shame it's lost, it's actually a pretty good banger from the only few moments of it that exist online.

I just looked on Discogs, searched "The Wind", and narrowed the search down to Single and 1980s. I found multiple songs released in the 1980s called "The Wind", and the ones I was able to find on Youtube sounded nothing like the one Whang! covered. The one I couldn't find via a simple Youtube search was by Sunset, which simply states "Austrian pop and show band" on their Discogs profile description. "The Wind" appears to be Sunset's only release.
Ok, now we know the song is "Check it in, Check it out" (or just simply "Check"), and it has a runtime of about 3 minutes (or 2 minutes, 56 seconds to be more precise). I think we are getting there.

No official song title has been confirmed yet, but I am glad that the full version of the song was found, even if it is in lower quality. This seems to be one of those pieces of unknown media that gets people interested in lost media. There seems to be quite a large following for this case online, so it's only a matter of time, with so many people working on this one.

It's good to see this get traction. I think the subreddit for the song is still active and Whang! has expressed interest in doing a followup if any new information comes up.
I hope Baskerville gets enough buzz to talk about it, even if it turns out he doesn't have the records of that time frame anymore.
