Hello lmw. today my mom was telling me about this short she saw on nick jr when i was a kid about a girl and her dog singing "orfman and i are going to buy a peanutbutter popcorn pie". after googling and watching TONS of old nick commercials and bumpers and shorts, I found nothing but a few other people asking about the short on yahoo answers and reddit(tho the yahoo link looks like a troll). anybody else remember anything bout it? I was to young to remember it, i only remember my mom singing that one part for years, thinking she made it up until today. thanks.
There are no character images, just background shots, but the painter gives some details. Apparently it was a pitch pilot called "Sparky & Arfman: Bug Island". Searching with the spelling "sparky and arfman" helped a lot and I found an older book cover (probably what the pilot was based on) from Frederator: www.flickr.com/photos/84568447@N00/3059567554

I'll update this reply if I find anything else.
Wow, great find! I knew that the name was probably slightly off because of the name Orfman. I was not expecting it to be so close to Arfman, though! Haha.
It seems that the pilot episode was published in 1999. I also found that the Canadian actor, Terrence Scammell, voiced a character named Mr. Sniff. It seems like contacting Scott Nash would be the best idea so far.
I honestly don't remember watching this short, though that doesn't mean I didn't see it. If it was made in 1999, then it's definitely possible, especially since Nick Jr. aired the same 5 Amby and Dexter shorts (which were released in 1997) long enough for me to remember it, and even that took Nick tweeting about it last year for me to remember it again. The pictures linked don't ring any bells for me, but maybe seeing the actual short would. Interested in seeing if this can be found.
