Hello, this is my first time posting here. I read a lot of posts and through it all, I do have one piece of “lost media” I’m looking for. I haven’t seen it since i was very small, so my memory of it is foggy at best.
I know that it was a very old MGM cartoon-maybe from 30s-40s, in color, though it might be from the fifties. I do know that it was a short cartoon, though. I believe there was a narrator, perhaps male? On to what I definitively remember: a person is carrying a gift down a street, and the ribbon blows off the gift and flies through the air. The ribbon travels a great deal and sees many wonderful things and I recall the cartoon ending with someone finding the ribbon. The ribbon might have been yellow in color, also. I was around five or six, so again my memories of this are very rough. I do not know the title of this cartoon, but if anyone could point me in the direction of this short or what it’s really called, I will be happy.
(It might have been on Boomerang when it was on Cartoon Network during the day in the early 00s.)
I think i only saw this short once. Again, any answers would be highly appreciated! Thank you for listening!
Reminds me of "Johnny Fedora & Alice Bluebonnet." It fits your description with the exception that it's about a hat & not a ribbon. The hat however has a "girlfriend" who is 50% ribbon.
