Seeing Reflection of Crescent in the main page of the Wiki, and after purchasing DIVA F and playing it religiously, made me remember another project. Sometime in late 2013 (If I remember correctly), news about a Chinese anime inspired by Ryo's ODDS&ENDS surfaced online, with even some concept art showing us how Miku and the Crypton gang would look. I remember this vividly, because I even posted the concept art on Twitter with a description in different languages saying "hey an ODDS&ENDS anime will happen! Thanks China!" Or something like that. The tweet is gone as Twitter blocked my account in January because I was under 13 years old when I created it initially and at the moment I don't have any ID.
I can't remember the name of the studio. I don't think we even knew who was behind the project. But I remember that it was announced as an OVA, rather than a regular anime series. There were fully colored images featuring Miku in the corresponding outfit, Luka, Rin & Len. I honestly don't remember seeing KAITO or MEIKO at all. The art style was somewhat close to that of Studio Trigger, but not exactly the same. I looked for it and aside from dead links in Latin American Vocaloid Facebook fanpages, I can't find any info on it. I'm thinking that it was cancelled altogether, but no traces of the concept art can be found. No information about the studio, voice actors, music or even if they planned more OVAs. It's almost as if this was never even announced. The only media I can find is just the concerts and albums the song has been featured, alongside the DIVA F opening, PV, charts and module.
But since I don't have any info about it, I can't assure you that the project was fully cancelled. Possibly it could also fall into obscurity for some very odd reason (I mean this is Vocaloid and everyone wants an anime out of it (even if they're just voice synthetizers)). I don't know. I'll try to look for more about it, but the fact that it's almost as if it never existed is kinda scary tbh.
Sorry for the rambling. I'm in a hurry right now...
[edit]: ok quickly I managed to find the concept art. KAITO and MEIKO were there all the time (for some reason couldn't remember them). The site says that it was "in production" too. And apparently it was going to be a story about Miku and the Crypton gang growing up together. chinanime.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-432.html?sp
