There was this cartoon I watched a long time ago. It may have been about Goofy, but I'm not sure. It was also probably black and white. So, the main character walks in to this museum, and I'm pretty sure there's no other people inside. It's a museum of robots, run by robots. Then, one of the robots says "can I take your hat, please?" or "can I take your coat, please?" Something like that. The main character is like "No, I wanna keep my hat." and eventually the robot forces him to give it his hat or whatever. That's all I really remember except for over the course of the short, the robots just make problems for him, and whenever they try to help the main character, they fail. for instance, I'm pretty sure that at the end of the cartoon, he gets his hat ir coat or whatever back and it's cut to shreds.
This sounds familiar, but it also sounds like a Man vs Technology trope I've seen in one or more cartoons before. I'm not going to say that it's the dreaded "Mandela Effect" but the possibility is there. If I recall correctly, I've even seen this trope used in several sci-fi or technology related cartoons, like Dexter's Lab and Johnny Test. With certainty, I also recall something similar to this used in a Wallace & Grommit film. So, you may be right. There might be one of these style scenes or episodes involving Goofy. I didn't watch a whole lot of Disney stuff until this past year, so take my words with a grain of salt. Maybe there is a Goofy moment with this common Man vs Technology trope.

I've seen every Wallace and Gromit and I don't remember such a scene in it (unless you count The Wrong Trousers). But I remember a similar episode of Garfield and Friends called "Rainy Day Robot", but it didn't have the taking a coat joke.
