While searching aimlessly online, I found a file saying it was an audio-adaptation of "The Spirit of the Harvest Moon" (one of the stories from R.L. Stine's More Tales to Give You Goosebumps). My first reaction was to assume it was fan-made... But that theory was quickly squashed. It has an introduction from Stine himself. My next guess was that the file must be mistitled. This was also proven wrong. It's actually a 21 minute narration of the final More Tales to Give You Goosebumps story. Sadly, the file's uploader hasn't been active anywhere online for months (as far as I can tell).
From what I've gathered, in late 1995, there was an audio cassette released specifically dedicated to narrating "The Spirit of the Harvest Moon". In all the years I've been a fan of the Goosebumps franchise, I've never heard of or seen this tape. Why? Who was it released by? What did the packaging look like? Why has nobody mentioned this online except for one guy who shared the audio?
I need your help. If you own this tape — or remember owning it — send me any useful information. If you can share a photo, I'd be ever-grateful.
I went to the audio adaptation on YouTube and contacted the uploader for info and images, I went to the archive and also askd for info and images, I'm searching everywhere and going through to old catalogs, but still no info, I think the only other wway to find the needed info is to contact Stine himself.
I remember when you first posted this. Being a huge Goosebumps fan myself, I was looking everywhere for more information on it. I just hope that the person who uploaded it finally gets back to all of us.

You could try asking R.L. Stine on Twitter if he remembers anything about it. He’s usually very interactive with fans on Twitter.
My only guess as to why it’s so obscure and mysterious is that perhaps it was some sort of exclusive, giveaway, send away, or pack in premium for some sort of promotion, as the rest of the tapes debuted the following year.

I assume (since no one answers on public sites, like archive or youtube) that this audio adaptation could've been a bonus feature on a cassette that either belongs to Goosebumps or part of another series somehow. I looked through old catalogs and even library records and I still couldn't find it. So what if it is actually a bonus feature? It could be an audio recording that was meant to be released but canceled, and the copies we saw on YouTube and Archive were possible proof copies or something?
The green cassette tape titled “Goosebumps: Introduction read by R. L. Stine” was an add-in for one of the months (likely the first month) of the Scholastic Book Club Thrills & Chills monthly subscription mailing circa 1996. Each mailing included one original Goosebumps book accompanied by a Thrills & Chills magazine, another non-Stine authored horror book, and other random add-ins such as stickers, postcards, bookmarks, posters, etc. As far as I know, the subscription ran for 2 years (24 months). If you subscribed for the entire length, you ended up with original Goodsebumps books 1 through 24. Scholastic also had a subscription featuring R. L. Stine called “The Thriller Book Club.”

Very interesting, where’d you find this info? A source would be very helpful.
