Are there bad movies that you still liked/like to watch, even though you are aware they are bad?
As for me...
One of the most infamous "bad sequel" of the history of cinema!
The original Highlander was a classic of action/fantasy, although when I watched it, I thought it was a bit too "classic" in some parts, if you know what I mean...
This sequel, I watched with low expectations because I already knew its reputation.
And it was so silly it was fun! Lambert's lame performance as an "old man", the villains being ridiculous and over-the-top, Sean Connery having the time of his life and many funny moments, both intentional and unintentional ("Get off the stage, s**thead!" "S**thead? What's a s**thead?")
And besides, Lambert and Connery have great chemistry, and it was still very fun to see them together again.
(honestly, the Highlander I liked the least was Highlander III which was an uninspired retread of the first movie... didn't bother to watch The Source though.)
Yeah, yeah, I know it is the Nostalgia Critic's most hated movie and was I Hate Everything's most hated one for a while too...
But I watched this film with very low expectations...
And I enjoyed it for what it was; a silly 80s' fest with silly puppets and silly things happening. That you shouldn't take seriously in the slightest.
Yeah, yeah, the "worst Superman movie ever made", yadda yadda.
But at least I find it much more enjoyable than Superman III (why doesn't anybody criticize this one more openly?).
It's got quite a silly and innocent mindset, that is best to be watched with your brain on a low setting... or very low expectations!
Heh, do not take the license so seriously...
Yes, it is silly and certainly a blasphemy to the Mario/Nintendo fanboys...
But hey, I think this movie is good cheesy fun! The awkwardly transferred elements from the video game make it kinda funny to see.
Yes, another video game movie that is famous for sucking.
I watched it twice.
Very silly moments, a silly concept and execution, it almost feels like a school play at times... watch it with your brain turned down.
