I am looking for a claymation I watched as a child. It starts with a boy looking upon his farm. The sky eventually turns red, and his farm is hit by an air raid. Based on this I'm guessing it may be WWII or cold war era. I know it's on VHS somewhere, because my grandma used to have one.
I know this isn't a claymation, but that description reminded me of the Dantooine scene in Star Wars Clone Wars 2003. The kid is on a farm looks up at the sky and there are Republic Gunships everywhere while a battle takes place in the fields. Just saying that is very similar.
I asked my grandmother about the short, and she remembered it. She mentions that the boy lived in a Windmill house, and when he looks over his farm, you can see other windmill houses in the distance. Also, after the air raid, there is a scene of rebuilding. Somewhere along the lines a girl is involved.

Even more intriguing- one person seems to recall a very similar scene used in (what's possibly) a different media. This could mean that what was used in the Star Wars scene is a reference to the film all of you are thinking about. If that's true, then that means the film has a greater chance of being real.
OP, have you any idea of anything else you saw from the film? Any production company or studio name? Also, what language do you remember or assume the film was in?

Referring to your question of launguage, im fairly certain there was no dialog. Everytime i think of this short, a Might Mouse logo appears, I have tried looking into it, but Mighty Mouse has lots of shorts to sort through.
Hello, I 'm glad to report that I've found it. No, it's no April Fools Joke, I actually found it. I check this thread daily to see if anyone has replied with any info. I've been digging around trying to find any info. I've used keywords like "Claymation depicting Air Raids, Claymation WWII Air Raids, etc." I found a Wikipedia article listing WWII Propaganda cartoons:
I looked through it, reading the descriptions. Once I saw the one titled Tulips Shall Grow, it mentioned a windmill in the description. I dug around and found it on YouTube. That seems to be a common trend these days in the Lost Media community. I watched the short, and I was right about a few things:
1. It is a WWII era claymation
2. An air raid does happen and is a little intense. Why was I allowed to watch this?
3 A girl was involved, she was actually a major part to the plot
Some things I was wrong about:
1. Not a Mighty Mouse production (AKA Terrytoons) , actually produced by National Telefilm Associates, Inc. (NTA)
2. Not a silent film, although only one line of dialog is spoken
3. There is technically not a rebuilding scene, but some flowers do grow back in the end.
