Hi, there is a game from 2009 that is completely missing called F.A.M.P.S. You can buy the game but it leads to a link on the site that no longer works. After looking around a little I found the lost commercial www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoOM_g4oGnw
Does anyone have a copy of the game or know where I can get it? Thanks.
Thank you for taking the time to look for me but the disc leads to a now taken down link to download the game on Mattel's site, making this game completely lost. Also I have no idea why a download disc would only include a link to a download page rather then the game itself...
So yeah lost media like this really interests me so I'll keep looking. If anyone knows anything please be sure to lmk.
I don't know either. Is that a 12 inch or 8 inch disc? Can you take a screenshot of the disc's files?
Here are the files that were on the disc. The "installer" just leads to a broken download page. ufile.io/cflm6
Everything logonin said is true. The game will not run because the installer was only available as a download. I'm trying to look at it to see what is actually in the EXE file, but I don't have much hope.
We could still try to figure out how the system works. Do the figures have screws on the bottom, possibly indicating that they have chips inside that would connect to the circular device with the USB on the end?
Edit: They took the servers down in 2011. On that software page, it doesn't say how much file space the program actually takes up, just that it needs 1.5GB of RAM to function.

I don't see any screws on the figures but if you want I can pm you photos of the figures and portals. I don't know much about how all this works but I might be able to take them apart so we can see the insides.

I know just enough to Google the things I don't know.
Don't worry about opening the figures. They can definitely communicate with the portal, seeing as in the commercial the figure in the circle is being displayed on the screen. Adding a new one let you download a new activity.
According to r/techsupport, the program might never work even if we have the file that was supposed to be downloaded. It might have wanted to check in with a server that has definitely been disconnected. I have heard of ways to hack PC programs so they can skip server authentication. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that and without the downloaded file, we can't do anything. Finding that file is going to be next to impossible.
I'm at a loss as to what to do from here. We could see if there is more information about F.A.M.P.S., like reviews or catalogues. We could look for people who were in GirlTech's product development and see what they might know.

The box actually says the game can be played offline so it probably does exist somewhere. I have been trying to find people who worked at Girl Tech but have been coming up empty handed so far, so my only idea is to spread the word about this mystery and hope someone has a copy lying around.

Oh, great! That should make things easier if we get the file.

After a long search a friend and I are finally on the verge of possibly finding the game, and being able to archive it. We came across the installer for the Mac version of the game. My friend tried to install it but got the following error
Does anyone have any ideas on how to possibly fix this? He is using MacOSsierra.
