Wow! I'm glad people are starting to draw attention to this lol. I actually kinda wanna see the full musical. I would like to help in any way I can, but since I'm a minor I can't do a lot of stuff. But still, if you guys need help with something I could definitely try doing it!
What I want all of you to do is to try and contact 4licensing with me. Their Contact info is here. I will try and call them tomorrow. www.4licensingcorp.com/contact/
Oh wow, this is incredible. So he's saying there was never a professional recording? Who said there was then? Of course, he might be remembering wrong, but in the case that he isn't perhaps the alleged promotion of the release on the Pokemon site and stuff was premature.
And I'm glad you were able to follow up with the 4Kids email, I'm very excited to hear what they have to say in return, but I also commend you for even finding these contacts, as I couldn't find anything.
Glad we have even a little new information, even if it does contradict what we knew before.
Production stage manager Chris Mitchell. He said they professionally videoed a show in Chicago the last weekend it played.
It's exciting to see we actually have people on this site doing stuff to recover this; I think Chadtronic just made that video and he's hoping it'll magically appear without doing any work.
Just incase you guys never saw:

There was a article about it in one of those "Supermarket" Pokemon magazines that you'd find at the checkout. Such as Beckett Pokemon Collector. Anyways they mentioned Pokemon Live in it and said it was going to be Broadcast on Kids WB. I'm just wondering. Was it?
This is the first I've heard of that claim, so we'd have to investigate. Do you know the name of the magazine perhaps?
Airing on WB doesn't seem out of the question, but at the same time I wonder if it actually would have been shown since I assume a lot of people would have recorded it themselves and not bought the real VHS. Unless they decided to show it after scrapping the VHS release.
Either way it's interesting and perhaps we should look into it. Because if we could prove it was on TV, then it would be much easier to locate a recording of that rather than the original masters at Pokemon HQ.

So doubtful. Someone would've remembered it.

There was never a formal recording of the Pokemon show.
That directly contradicts what Chris Mitchell told me years ago when I was messaging with him. Unfortunately, I can't provide proof because YouTube inconsiderately purged everybody's pre-2014 inboxes.
EDIT: I messaged him about it again. Hopefully, he'll respond and reconfirm.

He never specifically mentions Kids' WB!, but Dennis Kenney mentions that it's "heading to TV and home video" on Pokémon Insider: The Video. And no, it wasn't.

Don't worry; there's proof in the Chadtronic video.
