Thought i'd make an article for forgotten online games as i'm sure we all have some from our childhood, yknow the free games you could find free online in sites like freeonlinegames.com.
The first one I'm wondering about was a top down adventure point and click game all I remember is it had some kid in a red shirt in a large maze like cave system and you had to go around collecting different coloured keys to unlock other parts of the cave most of the backgrounds were a solid brown colour. I believe it was called something like "Ned's Adventure" but Im not sure.
The second one is a work in progress as details in my memory are very faint. It was a 2d point and click adventure game which had a kid with i believe glasses and a backpack but not sure. Not sure what the point of the game was but i remember if you went one way the road got really dark and had a bunch of dead trees and spooky things. The style of gameplay was similiar to Garfield scary scavenger hunt. Edit: the game might have had something to do with walking home as i believe it was mostly all outside.
If anyone has any ideas on what these games were please let me know! Also, if you have some games yourself your looking for from online add them to thread:p

Thank you for making this thread! I'm afraid I haven't heard of either of those games, so I couldn't be of any help there.
However, there is a game I am looking for a well, made in Java back in 2000: Rollerboy 2, a Mario-like platformer from where you played as a little ninja on rollerskates, collecting rings. There are screenshots and detailed information here: www.javacoffeebreak.com/articles/javagames/oct00/rollerboy2.html
The game used to be hosted on Globalfun.com, which is where I used to play it. It was also hosted on its own domain, www.rollerboy2.com/ which no longer exists. I have tried to access the game via the Wayback Machine from both sources, with no luck--however, I haven't tried every single web capture, so it's possible it COULD be accessible somewhere, I just haven't found it yet. Unfortunately, there are a lot of captures, so sifting through these will take some time. I'm also not a coder, and would have no idea how to access/compile the Java source code from the captures if it's there, nor do I know if that is even possible.
According to a user who posted to reddit in the first link, the developer seems to have lost the source code. The only hope for finding this game now, it seems, would be if someone had downloaded or ripped the game/source code from back then, or if the source code can be found in any of the Wayback Machine captures and compiled by someone who knows how to do it.

Your first game sounds a lot like Laffy Taffy 3D Pyramid Challenge.
Definitely one place to check is Flashpoint, they have a huge repository of games. bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/
I totally forgotten about flashpoint lol omg i'll check out the game you mentioned but i don't think it had a name like that:p i remember just a regular name lol
I found the second game using the Wayback machine on all the old sites we used to use. It's on free online games and its called 'Fred's Adventure'. It's not at all how I remembered it looking, the kid had no glasses or backpack and simply a redshirt. The point of the game is to walk around and uncover who stole your bike. And you can play it on Newgrounds. www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/253311
