I know this hasn't been updated in a long time but I don't know how else to post this as I am new to the forum and I wanted to post this information here as I believe it may help with the future search. I have been following the Lost Media scene for a little less than a decade now and have mostly just observed but discussion on the topic of this show has really started to bug me so I want to hopefully provide details (to the best of my abilities) regarding it.
JBVO from my memory was rebroadcasted. I was born after the millennium and therefore would have been completely unable to view the original airing of JBVO as many online resources describe (with I believe the final airdate listed online being in either 2001 or 2002). I however remember stumbling upon this show when I was a kid. Sometime between 2007 and 2009 at air times between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM (sorry I can't be more specific, my memory is very foggy as a kid).
I never saw a full episode but I do remember it airing on Boomerang relatively late with a banner at the top of the screen (I think it was yellow) that stated that the episodes were previously broadcasted with the air date. These banners I think only appeared when they would come back from shows or breaks but only briefly. The only episode I remember was one with Scooby-Doo in the booth but after a short time some other character showed up to replace him. Not sure of the character but I do know they were humanoid.
I wasn't allowed to watch anything Johnny Bravo back then so I don't have much attachment to the character but I can say that I remember watching bits of this back in the day. One last thing I will say is that I also remember some of the clips from some of the other JBVO-like shows were used in some intermissions to promote Johnny Bravo airings on Boomerang. I only remember this as some of the scenes I have seen from those more recently discovered shows looked awfully familiar to what I had seen in ads when I was a kid.
I, unfortunately, don't have much proof aside from my age to say that any of this is legitimate. I don't believe I have any CN or Boomerang recordings but I will try and check. Keep up the good work y'all.
One of the clips sees a sort of panning shot of the studio starting in the top left coming down to the bottom right sorta in between Johnny Bravo and the booth. In this sequence I think it was maybe the start of the show which is where I remember the banner showing up at the top of the screen saying I think someday in 2000. The shot then focuses on Johnny Bravo as he introduces the segment prepping for some show and that is where that memory ends.
Another clip as stated before was with Scooby-Doo in the booth. This was mid conversation with Johnny Bravo and it suddenly changes to a more tense atmosphere since some other character breaks into the studio and appears next to Scooby-Doo. They banter back and forth a little but I don't remember it getting more than maybe a few insults (or what could even be considered insults for a show like JBVO). I think this one said 2001 (maybe 2002 but I doubt it) or I might be thinking of the last clip.
The last clip was also one with Scooby-Doo I think. Not sure if it was part of the same airing but it was closer to the end of the show where it sounded like either Johnny Bravo or some other voice was saying that next up was an episode of Johnny Bravo.
I really wish I knew more. Even this follow up post I feel more unsure about compared to that initial post because as I have said, I have seen other clips of JBVO more recently and because I have been thinking about this in order to post here, my brain may be trying to fill in gaps incorrectly.
