So I've heard that BrainPop aired on Nickelodeon. And for a long ass time too. From 1997 to around 2004. I don't think this is true tho, because BrainPop was created as short videos for a health website, not something for national TV in between commercials. The website portion only was made in around 1999. I think this is just a couple of autistic kids making rumors for their fantasies, but what to ya'll know about this? I haven't been able to find any recordings on YouTube, so that only adds fire to the "this isn't real" theory. Here's where I've heard about this: brainpop.wikia.com/wiki/Pre-BrainPOP_Episodes It's also talked about in the comments for this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMvknAZwgFM I also remember other sites talking about BrainPop on Nick, and even BrainPop on Cartoon Network, tho idk about that. See ya!

Yeah, this is probably false memories. BrainPop was created late 1998, so it couldn't have aired on Nick back in 1997. On top of that, being an educational website, they would be exclusive to schools. They probably wouldn't show videos on the same channels that aired Ren and Stimpy and Ed, Edd, n Eddy, let alone advertise there. It definitely doesn't sound like something the folks at BrainPop would want to do.
Also, with BrainPop being a subscription service targeted towards schools, they would advertise to schools, not kids cable channels. It just doesn't make sense.
I don't know about Cartoon Network, but for a solid chunk of that time period I almost exclusively watched Nickelodeon and never saw anything BrainPop. It was also created in 1999 (really 2000, since it started Dec 31) and it was founded as an online thing.
As much as I fondly remember watching those BrainPop videos in elementary school, I would definetly have to say the claim of the shorts airing on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network is a false memory as there is no record of either network airing the shorts during their advertisement breaks.
Like Terry the Cat said before, BrainPop is an internet subscription service targeted directly for schools and though the animation in the videos are good quality by internet standards, it's not the kind of animation that Kid's TV networks would want to air or broadcast because both of the main networks mentioned tend to target older kids (with the exception of Nick Jr., which does explicitly target younger kids).

Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
well, thanks for all of the replies. Yeah, i was thinking it was a bunch of fans creating weird ass theories (i used to do the same when i was 7.) i'll see ya guys later.
I saw brain Pop shorts for the first time in around 5th grade. I never knew its been around since 1999 though. I also remember watching a show called Clicky about a robot and two kids who go one computer adventures. Thanks for reminding me of Brain Pop lol. I wish this was true though.
