I recently found out that the 1968 Hanna-Barbera show 'The Banana Splits' got a live-action/animated TV special called, 'The Banana Splits in Hocus Pocus Park', which aired on the 'ABC Saturday Superstar Movie' in 1972. The Live-Action portions of the special are fully recovered and can be seen on YouTube. But as for the animated portions, I could only find a few screenshots which for the most part appear to be taken from airings of the special on 'Boomerang'. I also found a couple of short snippet of the animation taken from a promo for the 'Mr Spims Cartoon Theater' block on 'Cartoon Network'. I tried looking into finding a full version of the special but I cannot seem to find anything. I'm just wondering if someone out there has a full copy of the TV special or not.

Shame you wouldn't have heard of The Banana Splits, it's a great show. Used to watch it all the time after Adult Swim ended on Fridays and Saturdays as it was always running in syndication at that time. The cartoons they showed are all complete crap but the surreal wacky 60s vibe the live action sequences had are always fun to watch.

Huh I didn't know that thanks for the info. I did however send an email to the person who uploaded the high quality clips linked in the original post asking if they would be willing to sell there copy of the movie or at least send a digital copy.

If anyone is interested I found the Twitter of the person who uploaded the clips of this movie on YouTube. Maybe someone can convince them to upload the whole thing or at least try to sell it so one of us can upload it ourselves Kings Island History Twitter
