Hello, long-time reader, first-time poster. Finally found something on the boards that could concern me. I watched this show when I was little, so my memory is obviously sketchy. However, I did find this comedy article, on some sort of Muppet fansite, where a guy outlines the plots for five episodes, and provides his thoughts. He doesn't mention an episode I recall, where Bear visits a girl in some sort of urban environment (Brittany of Bronx, maybe?), eats oatmeal with her, and hula-hoops with her, though. His email is below, and I might consider contacting him to see if he still has the episodes saved to somewhere, although I wouldn't cross my fingers, given that it was written almost eleven years ago.

This is the exact same episode I remember!
Yeah. Were reruns ever shown of this show? Turns out the guy who wrote the article is actually a co-founder of the Muppet Wiki, so if anyone is gonna help us, it'd be him.

I remember this show but one episode sticks out in my head clearly there was an episode where bear visits a girl in a tent I always thought that was a weird episode
So the Disney Archives (after almost 4 months) finally replied to me. Here was their response:
"Dear captainmedia:
Thank you for your interest in the history and heritage of The Walt Disney Company.
To our collective knowledge, the series was not packaged for retail sale, though, several home entertainment offerings have been released over the years on DVD and VHS, that feature the "Bear in the Big Blue House” characters and content from their various television shows and programs.
To find this material, we recommend that you visit your local library or check with third-party online retailers.
We hope this additional information helps.
Many thanks,
Walt Disney Archives"
TL;DR: Disney says it never had a retail release, but that we should check VHS and DVD for possible episodes

Well i shall be checking my libraries, i have 4 near lol they also get things from other libraries in the state. Illinois does something right.
I remember watching Bear in the Big Blue House as a little kid (and I have the CD, can't get to it right now though) but I don't remember this.
Same! I loved watching that show and peanut butter and jelly the otters, but i was more into Nick Jr and Cartoon Network as a young'n.
Although I LOVED The Book of Pooh more than other Playhouse Disney stuff. But I'm interested in seeing this lost Bear episode. The description caught my eye.
I got about 30 VHS tapes, with some episodes of Breakfast With Bear. My uncle bootlegged this show, and a couple of other old cartoons from TV a long time ago and sent them to me. imgur.com/a/aE8gx Got a VHS player, but no capture card or DVD recorder to get the digital signal. I might try to record it, with my camera, or phone or something, for now.

We'll take what we can find, but you can also use VLC and hook the VCR up to a computer.
