Actually that could very well be it, is that the official cover or no? The title seems to fit really well, its a shame i cant find any other images of the book
Searching the title brings up the only cover I have seen. I'll be looking for other versions of the book. I may contact my old elementary school to see if the still have one like it.
Did you contacted?

I have not yet, as the schools in my area just came back from the holiday break. I will be contacting them once the second semester is in full swing.

I decided to look up old folktales and found some relating to the moon, one of them being "The Moon in the Mill Pond", which has been referenced before. Is the book Brer Rabbit Finds the Moon in the Mill Pond? The art style is definitely odd. I'm not sure which video you saw, but this one was one of the ones I came across. I found a picture with a golden fox, which I attached. The thing is, most of the photos do not appear to be during the night.
This is certainly a folktale and the book that you're thinking of may be hard to pin down because of that.
Ty but no its already been suggested on Reddit unless its some sort of more recent retelling than its not that. It deffiently was not that old. I would put the book at 70s-90s.
