Anyone who uses "reddit-tier" in an argument comes off as insecure and projecting to me, but I'll admit I've got a personal bias due to some people I've dealt with in the past. So I'm not spewing the bullshit. 

And I don't think there's some massive racist conspiracy against anime. What I so believe is that you have your "reddit-tier" vocal anti-weebs who hate anime and will try to do dumb shit to try and troll weebs. I don't even think it's out of racism per se, it's more out of simple fandom rivalries. A lot of those same Reddit-tier people also tend to like specific Japanese pop culture IP's such as Nintendo games or Godzilla movies, but they just have a very specific dislike of anything remotely related to anime and manga for some damn reason. So it's not racism, but nerd rage.
