Wow, coming back to this thread. I'm impressed by the new info found about this show. When I heavily researched this show, I didn't find any of this. Now that we have 2 guys who worked on the show. That opens up a bunch of new information. I had no clue My Special Book had 90 episodes.
I remember around 2 years ago, when I just started remembering this show. I posted a comment on YouTube asking if anyone else remembered it. Some guy commented and claimed that he had hundreds of hours of Treehouse footage on VHS, and was "absolutely positive" My Special Book was on it. He told me that he will upload it when he can put VHS tapes onto YouTube. It got me very excited. But then he randomly deleted his YouTube channel and I never heard from him again. Disappointment.
By any chance do you remember the name of the YouTube channel? They may have deleted their channel, but may still have a Google+ and Gmail account.
Try searching up their contact info on imdb pro, you might have to pay to be able to see their info but you can make a trial account and delete it once you've gotten it. On imdb pro you can make trial accounts.

I found a way to get around it using the website's HTML text. Nothing on IMDb Pro, but I did get through to their email using LinkedIn Premium.
"Unfortunately, I have no media or memorabilia from the show. It would be best to contact Corus as they would have all of the info you are in search of."
I sent another e-mail asking if he remembered any of the people who worked on the show.

Unfortunately, I got more or less the same response from Michael Decsi. He told me that as far as he's aware, the show was never offered on any other platform. Told me that YTV never really contacts him about anything. From what he says, YTV is our best bet since he does know they shot some colour publicity stills for them of Book Girl's show.
I'll try to ask him if he remembers who played Book Girl. I think that would be a good way to go from here, as actors sometimes keep footage of themselves for nostalgia and a sense of accomplishment.

And demo reels.
Good idea. Ask him about the other actors/puppeteers too.

Alright, so according to Michael, Book Girl was played by Krista Jackson, who was a YTV host. The voices of the puppets were also done by Jennifer Racicot who was another YTV host.
If I've found the right Krista Jackson, then this would be her and her website: www.kristajackson.com
Both were Program Jockeys (PJs) way back in the early days of YTV. Jennifer's segments date back to 1995. I'm sure either of them may have footage of themselves in the show.

Wow that is great new information. We have found more people who worked on the show, and now the actress. Also yep, that is most definitely the same Krista Johnson who played Book Girl. Still has the same-looking face. Even watching some of her PJ footage, you can easily tell.

Yeah, she does! Book Girl was basically Krista Jackson with the enthusiasm turned up. Has somebody contacted her yet? If not, I can do it.

"To my recollection, the girl who is in the show, is Krista Jackson. The little boy who is in the opening sequence, I believe, is the nephew of Melanie York, who produced the show. Yes, it’s such a cute little touching show. I searched IMDB, and also YouTube, and came up with the same results that you probably did. Zero. So sad."
Looking up Melanie York, I found out that she, unfortunately, passed away in 2014 due to ALS. The nephew is either Martie or Corey Cohen. One of them is female, as York is listed as having a niece and a nephew. Doing some digging for both names in Toronto, it appears Martie is the female and Corey is the male.
This LinkedIn Profile is for a Corey Cohen in Toronto. He would have been around 7 years old when the show started airing, and since he was in the opening, he might only need to have been filmed one time.

From my knowledge, nobody has contacted her. So sure, go ahead. It seems that she has involvement in a theater company nowadays.
Also that's very sad about Melanie York. From googling her, it seems like she worked on a lot of kids shows before getting ALS. She worked on The Big Comfy Couch at one point.
