Does anyone remember "Wanna Play?" (a Treehouse filler about kids playing in the park with their dog announcing). I wanna do a thread of my own for that, but I don't know how.
This report from 2008 suggests that there were some advertisements on Treehouse. It discusses targeting moms of preschoolers for advertising and is aimed at potential advertisers.
The advertising may have been intercut with shorts to maintain engagement.

That document seems to be about advertisements on the TreehouseTV.com website, not the TV channel. The TV channel didn't have commercials. They had at most one sponsor before a TV show, and that didn't take the form of a commercial.
I remember that Toons and Tunes player in the screenshot though. There probably were some things on there that are lost today. It had a lot of stuff, even full episodes of shows sometimes...

It is mostly about the website, though if you scroll down to page 20, you'll see the last two pages are about a promotion for a 2007 Pontiac Montana Giveaway.
A Fully Integrated Multiplatform Program • Four week integrated on−air/online campaign • Display advertising on TreehouseTV.com • Billboards on Treehouse • Contest • Customized microsite • Geotargeting • Licensed properties • In−retail communication extension
One of the screenshots on page 20 shows a sponsor cloud (billboard?) featuring the car.
You guys are right about them not having any traditional ad placements on the network. I was confusing Treehouse with PBS. Treehouse advertisements were for their other shows or for related content, like live shows.

I found another place where the show was mentioned:http://treehousefaceoff.blogspot.ca/2006_04_16_archive.html
It's a fun little blog in which somebody compares Treehouse shows. The show is mentioned in their list of planned comparisons,it's the last "battle" they were supposed to do: "Postman Pat vs My Special Book". Unfortunately,it seems that they never got around to writing it,because they only got up to "Judy and David's Boombox vs Kleo the Misfit Unicorn" before they called it quits. The posts are pretty fun to read tho haha
Did Julie and David's Boombox air at the same time (years) as My Special Book? You may have hit upon something here; that show wasn't on the schedule either, but I remember it clearly. There are clips online, so the credits of the show might help us figure out who was making these shows.
Yes,Judy and David's Boombox did air at the same time, but I don't think there's any connection between the two shows. Judy and David are a famous Canadian husband and wife duo kids band,"Boombox" was simply showcasing their music,it didn't have anything to do with My Special Book.

Yes I've browsed through a lot of Judy and David's Boombox and it has nothing to do in relation to My Special Book

Actually,I remember seeing some ads for Pampers and Huggies on Treehouse, but those came much later, like around 2010. Long after this show stopped airing,so I think it's irrelevant. That Powerpoint is pretty creepy though, the way they're looking to take advantage of kids and moms for advertising, very sneaky and manipulative. This is like the sort of stuff Vance Packard talked about in his book "The Hidden Persuaders".

Maybe not directly, but the production studio that made Boombox might also have made My Special Book. We don't know anything about who made My Special Book. I'm checking all the leads.
I emailed YTV to ask if they might have information about in-house productions. They don't have any information about shows that have been off the air for over a year, but shows they made themselves might be a special case.

Yea I attempted to contact YTV and Boise Entertainment but they don't seem like they have anything related to My Special Book

Who are Boise Entertainment? I can't find anything about them.
The guys behind Judy and David's Boom Box are All Together Now Entertainment, who appears to just be the distribution company for Judy and David's products. There's no hint of My Special Book material anywhere. We still have the YTV Productions logo.

Whoaa i wasnt aware so much work had been put into this since i last checked! Yes im sure this is a stand alone show and would not surprise me atall if this was made by the same team behind something like treetown i will be more surprised if this ISN'T an in house show. I could make a separate thread for max the cat if you wish, its another lost short from around this Time
