I've been asking my peers from school and some family friends to see if they have some recorded Treehouse tapes from around 2004 to 2006. So far, no luck. I got one tape from some friends that was recorded around Christmas 2007 (which had some cool stuff like the "Franklin" Christmas movie and an episode of "The Bittles"). It of course wasn't on there since it stopped airing in Fall 2006.
Maybe you guys should try contacting some of your peers. If they have Treehouse recordings of "The Berenstain Bears" from 2006, we have a good chance of finding the show. That was the show it came on after during its last year on air. That show went off the channel with it, but still airs reruns today (on Disney Junior CA, previously on YTV, Teletoon Retro, and Nickelodeon Canada) and there are DVD releases (from Kaboom! Entertainment, with some OOP USA releases from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment). There's no chance of finding "My Special Book" on any of those channels. If there was, it wouldn't be so lost, would it?
I'll try asking some more peers, but so far, it's a dead end, as most people don't have VCRs and wouldn't necessarily keep recordings from a preschool station as they may have grown out of it. Sorry for the long post :I
Hi everyone, when I was really young my mom actually recorded a bunch of treehouse shows and i remember this one being on it (My Special Book) The tape has shows like Mopatop's Shop, Wanna Play, Animal Stories, Big Comfy Couch, Franklin, the Triplets and more. If there is any way I can get this recording to you guys I would gladly do it!!
Opy. Any new updates on the tapes? You're the biggest lead we've gotten so far.

It's a pretty blank page with not much on it. But it's something. This archive is from March 2000. It gives a short description of the show and gives an air time and episode name.
Neat stuff.

Let me know what you guys think.
Holy. That is impressive what you found. All 90 episodes. And where do you find these CRTC logs? That's truly a new step-up finding all of the episodes.
It has logs of all Canadian Radio & Television Stations starting in August 1999. Treehouse's logs start in February 2000, but I have only been able to open starting September 2000, since I do not know how to work a .arc file.

ARC is a compression format, sort of like ZIP. PeaZip can open them.
I've been intending for some time to write a Python script to take all those TXT files and turn them into consistently formatted Excel Spreadsheets, but I just haven't gotten around to it. At least it'll be quick to download over FTP.
EDIT: Apparently PeaZip can't open these. They aren't, in fact, the more common FreeARC file format, but are instead a less common format sharing the same extension called LH archive. I'll see if I can put some research towards opening them.
EDIT AGAIN: I finally found a program that can open these ARC files, it's called ZipZag. However, it's a 30 day trial and the last version of Windows it appears to work on is Windows XP. But I tried it, I installed it, it works, so I'm going to use it to extract them all when I have time: zipzag.en.uptodown.com/windows

Thank you for the link. I looked at quite a bit of the logs. And now I think I can pinpoint when this show aired and when it didn't:
1998-2000: aired on YTV Jr. as a part of their morning programming block
2001-2002: Began to air frequently on Treehouse TV.
2003-2004: My Special Book didn't air at all in 2003 on Treehouse TV. But it began to air once in a while in 2004.
2005-Mid 2006: Started airing regularly again. Multiple times a day.
After a programming change in late 2006. My Special Book no longer aired on Treehouse TV.

My Special Book actually DID air on Treehouse TV in 2000. I think they aired it on both stations at the same time, and THAT is why YTV Jr. was unsuccessful. Same with Pet Squad. YTV I think aired the show up until 2002. I'll have to check. That's when YTV Jr. shut down.
Hey, great find on the episode list! Now that we have episode names, perhaps we can find them under their individual names rather than under the title of "My Special Book".
