When the last movie John candy ever starred in was released, Jeffrey Dahmer was still alive.
My teacher was 12 when the last surviving negatives of London after Midnight was lost.
Adding on to darkrage6’s post, they actually still executed people by guillotine in France when Star Wars first released in 1977.
George Washington never knew dinosaurs existed.
There’s a movie titled “100 Years: the movie you will never see.” It was filmed and completed in 2015, and is set to come out in November 2115, in 91 years from now.
Sex Chromosomes were discovered in 1905. Before then, people just didn't know about that stuff.
The Pledge of Allegiance being used in American schools started in 1892. However, that version was secular. The "one nation under God" version started in 1954.
"You Are My Sunshine", a song commonly taught to kids was released in 1939 and you can find original recordings of it on YouTube. Similar with "This Land is Your Land" being from 1945. It often feels like these songs are a lot older due to them being taught in schools and along side other songs like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" from 1806. I remember hearing these songs in school in the 1990s. Which is equivalent to if kids today in school were being taught popular songs from the 70s.
The year Nickelodeon was launched as Pinwheel in 1977 (it rebranded to Nick in 1979), was the same year:
-Uranus' rings were discovered
-The Communist Party of Spain was legalized
-Queen Elizabeth II had her Silver Jubilee for the passing of 25 years since she became Queen in 1952
-The Apple II series of computers were launched
-The US Department of Energy was created
-The last natural smallpox case was reported
-Shakira was born
-Floyd Mayweather Jr. was born
-Robin Thicke was born (if you don't know he made the song that played at the end of Despicable Me after the shot with Gru and the girls looking at the moon)
-John Cena was born
-Kanye West was born
-Tom Brady was born
-Ludacris was born
-Tom Hardy was born
-PSY was born
-Donald Trump Jr. was born
-Elvis Presley died
-Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin (Charlie Chaplin) died.
All the kids born in 2015 will be able to have Social Media by the time you graduate from High School (if you were in Pre-K in 2014 or Kindergarden in 2015, like me).
Smash Bros is was released the same year as Spongebob, the One Piece anime, EEnE (Ed, Edd, n' Eddy), Family Guy, Futurama, Sonic Underground, Batman Beyond, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Disney's Tarzan, Rocket Power, Digimon Season 1, Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, The Sorpanos, The Amanda Show, Angela Anaconda, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and would have been 2-3 months old during the events of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable.

From what I hear that "movie" is just a glorified ad for Louis Cognac and nothing more so i'm not too broken up about it being "lost".

I can imagine the outrage that is to be caused once this so-called “film” is released.
Just thought of another one that I learned thanks to Rap Critic-Notorious BIG's Just Playing(Dreams)from his 1994 debut album references none other then Raven Symone, definitely not a reference I was expecting to hear from a deceased 90s gangsta rapper, had no idea Raven went that far back and started that young nor did a lot of people.
