It would have aired anytime and anywhere that a large 18-49 audience would have been expected to be watching.
Also, make sure not to check anything before August of 2004 because there's no chance it would be in anything before then. So far, the earliest sightings of the Defend Your Chicken campaign aired on August 13th.

Further Tip: It seems unlikely that it would have aired on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel as the advertisements for McDonalds and all fast food places are typically for kids meals and other kid oriented products. Not impossible but seems unlikely, this doesn't include Nick at Nite or Adult Swim however

this thread discusses multiple chicken select commercials and the racist undertones
Way too much to scroll through. Some transcripts of the posts and dates would be helpful.
I did ctrl + F and "mcdonald's" but here are some quotes
"The McDonald's new chicken strips commercial with the people talking to their imaginary friends/co-workers. Only thing I like is at the end of one (the man's, I think) he asks "what have we learned?", to which I can say "McDonald's commercial writers are idiots."" - 14th September 2004
"I absolutely HATE the McDonalds chicken strip commercial where the lady is sitting at the table eating chicken alone and she says stupid stuff like " Momma loves you but stay away from my chicken strips" and "you better back up from my chicken" then she puts her hand up and makes a beeping sound like a truck backing up. It drives me crazy! " - 13th October 2004
"The McDonald's commercials I don't like are the all-white or all-Black ones. And in the all-black ones, everyone talks in jive and so on, ("Hey, yo, Mickey D") as if ALL black people talk that way.
Some of the car companies run similar ads that are all-white or all-black, with the all-black ad actors all talking like Barry White. The ads guys still don't understand...
I think they've changed some of that with the "I'm Lovin' It" ads, which are racially integrated..." - 7th November 2004
