This sounds familiar to me also. With how many of us seem to recall it, it must have existed in some capacity. Here’s an interesting potential lead that could be worth looking into. In 2011 Nickelodeon was having “SpongeBob & Kung Fu Panda Fridays” where on Friday nights they’d air SpongeBob followed by the Kung Fu Panda show. I found a bumper from the same timeframe that had SpongeBob and Po doing karate on the Nick logo. Maybe Patrick eating the fortune cookie happened on a bumper that aired around the same time?
I don't remember seeing this any later than 2007. We already stopped getting cable television in 2010 and moved to a new house in 2011.
Gotcha. Like someone mentioned earlier in the topic, there’s a chance that this happened during the Nicktoons Summer Splash segments that featured SpongeBob and Patrick. Funnily enough, when looking through this compilation I came across a segment where Patrick eats a krabby patty out of SpongeBob’s hand, so Patrick eating a fortune cookie at some point could be a real possibility.
(go to 13:49 for the start of the segment where Patrick eats the krabby patty)

I remember this scene as well i am from turkey and we have two nickelodeon channels here one is hd one is normal. The hd one aired new or popular shows but normal one usually aired old or bad quality shows. So i think it was 2014 or 2015 i saw this fortune cookie segment on non-hd nickelodeon. I remember that they are in patricks house and patrick says "my turn" then he ate his cookie with fortune in it maybe i am wrong but thats what i remember
I recently found official products of New Year Fortune Cookies with SpongeBob plastered on it (which were made by a company called "First Choice"), maybe it has something relating to that?

Putting in my two cents.
Honestly, while this does sound in-character for Patrick, it may just be false memory, since something like this sounds like something that would perfectly fit as a SpongeBob joke.
It may also be a promotional bumper, but I doubt it's anything else.
Regarding "First Choice": That's a store brand of Hong Kong grocery store chain Wellcome (sorta like the brand "Great Value" in the US) - therefore, these particular cookies would've only been sold in Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Taiwan. So unless OP is from one of those places (totally possible), I'd assume these cookies are unrelated.
(On a side note, while I understand accidents happen it seems to me like half of the posts in this thread were written *without actually reading the thread*. Please don't do that.)
_alexpine_ on discord. 2018 was HOW many years ago?!?! 2 correct unidentified/lost media solves out of my probably hundreds of bad guesses isn't THAT bad of a track record, right?
